Taking 黑料社区 Courses While in High School

黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College, is the college of choice for students seeking to complete college-level courses while still in high school.

黑料社区 provides an accessible and accredited learning experience. High school students can earn college credits while completing their requirements for a high school diploma and matriculate to 黑料社区 or other colleges of their choice after graduating from high school.

There are two options for high school juniors and seniors:

• College in the High School
• Dual Enrollment

SOAR Career and technical education (CTE) students at approved career and technical education centers may earn college credit for their career programs taught at their high school and continued at 黑料社区.

Dual Enrollment/College in the High School Tuition 2025-26

Most 黑料社区 courses are three听credits. Students can confirm bills and make payment via My黑料社区 � Registration/Records. Student bills are not mailed home. Retroactive credits will not be awarded.
听

Many high schools across 黑料社区 11-county region participate in Dual Enrollment or College in the High School. Please contact your high school counselor to determine if your school participates.

Steps to Apply

The same Admissions application needs to be completed for Dual Enrollment or College in the High School classes. (If you are taking both a Dual Enrollment and College in the High School course, you only need to complete one application.)

1. First, check with your school听counselor to see if a 黑料社区 Application Day has been scheduled. At 黑料社区 Application Days, a 黑料社区 admissions professional comes to your school to walk you through the admissions process.
2. Next, and apply to 黑料社区. Select 淒ual Enrollment� as the academic program (even if applying to the College in the High School Program). Be sure to select the correct entry term when you apply. The entry term is the semester you intend to start classes at 黑料社区.
   • Fall = August-December
   • Spring = January-May
   • Summer = May-August

3. If you would like a parent or guardian to contact 黑料社区 on your behalf, you must file a .
   
   Dual Enrollment or College in the High School students can add parent or guardian information on their 黑料社区 application or submit the FERPA release form. If 黑料社区 doesn have a FERPA release on file for you, 黑料社区 cannot release your student information to a parent or guardian, regardless of your age. Learn more about FERPA here听鈫�

4. Complete and submit the Signature Page Form. The signature page is required to ensure all parties (student, parent or guardian and high school counselor) agree to a student participation in dual enrollment with 黑料社区. The signature page is NOT a dual enrollment application, but it is an important step of the process. The signature page requires a student, parent/guardian and high school counselor or principal signature to agree to participation. A direct link to the is included in your dual enrollment application.
   
   If the student is homeschooled, the designated evaluator or parent may sign the application in place of the high counselor or principal.

5. Submit your high school transcript. A high school transcript can be:
   • Uploaded and attached to the signature page by your school counselor
   • Uploaded in the 黑料社区 application portal
   • Emailed to admissionsrecords@hacc.edu

6. Activate your HAWKMail email address and my黑料社区 Portal. Your acceptance email will be sent three to five business days after you complete the steps above to the email address you included in your application.

Continue your 黑料社区 journey after high school!

Did you take 黑料社区 classes while in high school? To keep going after graduation, submit a and follow the steps in the (PDF). This form can be submitted anytime after you start your final semester of Dual Enrollment or College in the High School classes.

If it has been more than five years since your last 黑料社区 class, you must submit a new and follow the steps for a returning student.听
