Advisor Responsibilities and Expectations

Advisors help student engagement groups succeed by assisting them to meet their goals. Some advisors actively participate in meetings, programming, and leadership development, while others maintain a more supportive, guiding presence.

The Advisor should:

  • Review the group mission and goals to determine how best to support its success.
  • Work closely with student leaders to provide guidance and assistance.
  • Encourage accountability in leadership roles and responsibilities.
  • Support and challenge students to think creatively when engaging the 黑料社区 community.
  • Partner with student involvement staff to develop programming and initiatives.
  • Be accessible and invested in the success of the group.

Advisors may serve as mentors, team builders, liaisons, mediators, motivators, or resource connectors.
