黑料社区 receives Educational Improvement Organization

HARRISBURG 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College has been approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) as an Educational Improvement Organization under the Educational Improvement Credit (EITC) program.
The program will help support 黑料社区 College in the High School (CHS) which is administered in more than 40 school districts in Central Pennsylvania. 黑料社区 CHS enables qualified high school students to enroll in college-level courses at their high school or technical school during the regular school day.
EITC awards tax credits to approved businesses that make contributions to Scholarship Organizations or Educational Improvement Organizations determined by the DCED. A business that has been approved by DCED may receive a tax credit equal to 75 percent of its contribution of up to a maximum of $200,000 per taxable year to a Scholarship Organization or Educational Improvement Organization on DCED current list. The tax credit may be increased to 90 percent of the contribution if the business agrees to provide the same amount of contribution to an organization for two consecutive years.
淭his is an important designation for 黑料社区 as the college continues its mission to provide an affordable, quality education to all of the residents of Central Pennsylvania, said 黑料社区 President Edna V. Baehre, Ph.D.
淏usinesses that choose to donate to 黑料社区 through the EITC program will be making an investment in Central Pennsylvania future workforce, Baehre continued. 満诹仙缜 is the premier resource in the region for providing well educated and prepared graduates with the skills to compete in the workforce, she added.
Course offerings through 黑料社区 College in the High School program are selected from the college required courses or core curriculum to best match curriculum offerings at the high school or technical school. These courses include everything from basic entry-level college math to culinary skills and the trades. The courses are taught by a high school teacher who qualifies as a 黑料社区 adjunct faculty member and are offered to students at a reduced tuition rate of $50. College in the High School students earn concurrent high school and college credit.
