Regional talent featured in benefit performances for memorial scholarship fund

HARRISBURGMeghan Night, an evening of song, dance and theatrical performances, will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Rose Lehrman Arts Center on the Harrisburg Campus of , Central Pennsylvania Community.
The benefit, which is a public fund raiser for the Meghan Freas Scholarship Fund in the Foundation, includes a dessert reception following the performances and a silent auction during the evening.
Performers include a variety of regional talent from students and community members, including:
§Connect, an original contemporary dance piece from Company C, featuring student Adam Newborn and former student Sara Longcroft;
§Braziliera from Scaramouche Suite, a double grand piano duet by Darius Milhaud performed by Thomas Hostetter and Bill Ingraham;
§Vocal solos by Heather Weaver, Bryden McGarry, Scott R. Richards and Angela Ruediger;
§Flamenco dance by Lori Friedlander, and
§Irish step dancing featuring dancers from Rebel Heart.
Proceeds will be put into a scholarship fund designated for a student pursuing an interest in International Theatre Studies. The fund is in memory of Meghan Freas, a student who passed away from complications resulting from a vehicle accident in May 2008.
