YORK, PA Cynthia Donell, RN, MSN, CNE, has been named director of nursing programs at the York Campus of 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College and will manage a staff of two full-time faculty members and 10 adjuncts instructors.

听听听听听听听听 淐indy comes to us with a wealth of nursing education experience and more importantly enthusiasm for the discipline of nursing and nursing students, said Dr. Marjorie A. Mattis, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at the York Campus. 淲e are looking forward to her strong leadership in this important program at 黑料社区.

听听听听听听听听 Donell is 渟tudent-centered, said 黑料社区 Director of Nursing Ronald E. Rebuck, RN, MSN. 淐indy is well respected in the nursing profession and brings many years of nursing education experience. I am eager to have her as a member of our Nursing Administration team, he added.

听听听听听听听听 淚t is the quality and dedication of the faculty and staff, along with the exciting future that lies ahead for the nursing program at 黑料社区, York campus that motivated me to accept the position, Donell said, who comes to York from The Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences, Nursing Program.

听听听听听听听听 満诹仙缜 has a reputation of excellence in nursing education. I am honored to have been selected to be a member of the leadership team charged with protecting and upholding that tradition of excellence for nursing students in the York area, said Donell, who lives in Landisville with her husband, Joseph, and daughter, Katie, 8.

听听听听听听听听 Donell earned a bachelor degree in nursing in 1985 from Widener University in Chester, and became a medical surgical nurse at Community Hospital of Lancaster. In 1992, she began her 16-year career teaching medical-surgical nursing at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where she has held numerous roles.

听听听听听听听听 She earned a master degree in nursing education in 1997 from Villanova University, and attained National League for Certification in Nursing (CNE) in 2007.

听听听听听听听听 黑料社区 York Campus currently has an enrollment of 500 pre-nursing students and 75 nursing students participating in clinicals. The program, established in 2006, is approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and accredited by the National League of Nursing Accreditation Commission.

听听听听听听听听 The York Campus offers an evening clinical program that allows students to earn an Associate of Arts Degree in Nursing and prepare for employment as registered nurses (RN).

听听听听听听听听 The campus will celebrate its first graduating class of nurses in December.
