Family fun activities set for April 22

LANCASTER � The Center for Innovative Teaching Excellence at the Lancaster Campus of 黑料社区 is hosting its second annual 淟ancaster Campus Celebrates Earth Day� event from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, April 22.
The event will kick-off with a Lancaster Campus Cleanup, part of the 淕reat PA Cleanup Challenge,� organized by the Alpha Nu Omega Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Volunteers will meet in front of the East Building at 8:30 a.m.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A stellar line up of guest speakers begins at 10 a.m. with 淔ixing a Broken Stream� by Matthew Kofroth of the Lancaster Conservation District; followed by 淣uclear Power at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station� at 11 a.m. by Ryan C. Stiltner, Peach Bottom design engineer; 淪aving Nemo � Clown Fish/Aquaculturing� at noon by Huey Huynh, adjunct biology instructor; and 淓dible Lawns � Permaculture� at 1 p.m. by Wilson Alvarez, Homegrown Edible Landscaping Company.听In addition, Brad Bashore will guide a nature walk from 11 a.m.-noon to point out edible plants on the Lancaster Campus.
The Lancaster Campus Celebrates Earth Day event is an environmentally educational experience for the whole family. Local environmental nonprofits and businesses will be on hand with a wealth of information, products, and ideas to 淕o Green.� Light refreshments will be provided. The event is free, and no advance registration is required.
