黑料社区 names coordinator for Franklin County programs

Feb. 13, 2009
Gettysburg, PA Gettysburg resident Evelyn Weaver will oversee 黑料社区 mechatronics program being delivered in Franklin County through a $250 thousand technical college program grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
Weaver was named to the post of Franklin County coordinator by Jennifer Weaver, vice president and dean of the Gettysburg Campus of 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College.
Twenty-five students already have enrolled for classes that start Feb. 16 at the Franklin County Career and Technology Center in Chambersburg. Mechatronics is a high-demand technical field combining mechanical systems and electronic controls.
Because of the state grant, students will be able to attend classes at a highly discounted tuition rate of $80 per credit hour, less than half of the normal tuition rate of $193 per credit hour. In addition, classes are scheduled during evening hours to accommodate working students.
Weaver, whose office is located at FCCTC, will oversee scheduling, enrollment management, delivery of student and academic support services for the program. Her duties also include networking with business and industry, school districts and community-based organizations to form partnerships for delivering 黑料社区 mechatronics program and other potential 黑料社区 course and program offerings.
Weaver formerly was executive vice president of operations for Eastern Motor Inns Inc. of Carlisle and director of economic development for the Cumberland County Economic Development. She has a bachelor degree in economics from Shippensburg University.
