Harrisburg, PA 黑料社区 President Edna V. Baehre, Ph.D., today announced the repositioning of two of the college key personnel to better serve the Harrisburg Campus and the division of community and college development.
As of April 1, Nancy Rockey will serve as interim vice president and dean of the Harrisburg Campus, overseeing day-to-day operations of the largest of 黑料社区 five regional campuses. Tom Powers of Tom Powers, LLC will serve as interim vice president of College and Community Development with Rockey continuing to provide oversight as college wide vice president of development.
淚 am pleased that they have accepted the challenge to serve in their new capacities, said Baehre. 淭his will enable 黑料社区 to accomplish several goals, including streamlining campus and college wide operations, while at the same time assuring a seamless continuation of efforts to raise funds for scholarships for needy students and for curriculum development.
Rockey has served the college since 1980 in various capacities, including senior professor of business information systems, dean of business, dean of workforce and economic development and, most recently, vice president of college and community development.
When a permanent campus vice president and dean of the Harrisburg Campus is hired, Rockey will train and transition that person into the job.
Powers has provided consultation services to 黑料社区 for more than a decade, and Powers has worked side-by-side with Rockey in various areas of her division and the college.
He retired in August from his full-time duties as president of Powers & Associates to provide additional consultation services to 黑料社区 for special projects and to devote his expertise to 黑料社区 major gifts programs. Powers & Associates were the developer of 黑料社区 Midtown site at Third and Reily streets.
Rockey and Powers most recently worked with the 黑料社区 Foundation, community business leaders and donors on the successful 14-month campaign that rose more than $3.5 million for scholarships, technology and workforce development at the Midtown site.
