Feb. 4, 2011ÌýÌýÌýÌý Mata Ortiz: Pottery in the Casas Grandes Tradition from the collection of photographer Carl Socolow of Camp Hill “ in the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery on the Harrisburg Campus of ºÚÁÏÉçÇø, Central Pennsylvania Community College, One ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Drive. The tiny village of Mata Ortiz in Chihuahua, Mexico, is known worldwide for its exquisite pottery. The exhibit, sponsored by the ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Alumni Association, features Artist in Residence, Jeraro Tena, Jan. 18-22. Tena is noted for his delicate, precise painting and superbly polished pieces. His lecture will be 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, in the gallery with a reception afterward. Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday, 5-7 p.m. TuesdayÌýand Thursday.
