HARRISBURG � Six alumni of 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College, are recipients of the 2010 Distinguished Alumni award given annually by the 黑料社区 Alumni Association.
The recipients are Bruce M. Deveney of Enola, Lisa Moreno of Gettysburg, Dr. James B. Nesbit of Camp Hill and Harrisburg residents Timothy P. Albert, Frederick A. Clark and Jonathon A. Hetrick.

The recipients are:
Timothy P. Albert, Criminal Justice, 2002, joined the Upper Allen Township Police Department in 2005. He is involved in the region Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program, mentors boys one-on-one as part of the Mechanicsburg Middle School Mentor Program, is a field training officer, and serves on the police department bicycle safety patrol.
听For the past several years, he has been a counselor at Camp Cadet, a weeklong summer camp sponsored by the Pennsylvania State Police for teenagers interested in law enforcement. He also raises funds for the program by helping in a golf tournament and selling T-shirts and hats at the State Farm Show.
Albert has a bachelor degree in criminal justice from Central Pennsylvania College and is a graduate of 黑料社区 Police Academy. He is working toward a master degree in public administration at Penn State University.
Fredrick A. Clark, Education, 1984, is president and CEO of Clark Resources, a minority business, government relations and consulting firm with offices in Harrisburg and Philadelphia. Awards include the Council of Public Education Business Partnership of the Year, the Central Penn Business Journal Top 40 under 40 Business Persons, the Central Pennsylvania Leader of the Year and the Harrisburg Young Professionals� Person of the Year. He was named Susquehanna Style Magazine Visionary of the Year, and recognized as one of the region top 淢over and Shaker� by Harrisburg Magazine.
Clark weekly TV talk show on Comcast, 淥ne On One With Fred Clark,澨齠eatures celebrity interviews. His e-mail newsletter, 淯rban Affairs with Fred Clark,� has a circulation of 5,000.听He is credited with helping revitalize downtown Harrisburg while executive director of Center City Harrisburg and played a key role in the election of Gov. Ed Rendell.
Clark has organized and financed many African American Leadership Conferences and sponsored an Urban Leadership Institute to help young and up-and-coming African Americans enhance their leadership skills. He also served on the Harrisburg School District Board of Education, as president of the African American Chamber of Commerce, and chair of the National African American Cultural Center.
He has a bachelor degree from Penn State.
Bruce M. Deveney, Life Science, 1973, has been superintendent of the East Pennsboro Area School District since 2009 and is the first of the district high school graduates to lead the district.
Deveney earned a bachelor degree in biology at Elizabethtown College, a master degree in instructional technology from Johns Hopkins University, and principal certification and superintendent letter of eligibility from Penn State University. In 1976, he became a science teacher at the East Pennsboro Area Middle School and over the next 20 years held several teaching and administrative positions in the district.
His accomplishments include South Central Pennsylvania Joint Council for School Improvement Teacher of the Year, ACES Outstanding Educator Award, district representative to the Capital Area Intermediate Unit Instructional Media Service Advisory, and district Year 2000 coordinator. He developed the district technology plan, designed and implemented the middle school computer curriculum, chaired the technology implementation committee, facilitated the district Business Advisory Council, and supervised the high school business department.
Jonathon A. Hetrick, Computer Networking Technology, 2006, was hired as an information technology intern by Hershey Entertainment and Resorts as a 黑料社区 student, and then became an IT specialist with the company. A year later, he was promoted to his current position as an associate network specialist where he designs, configures and supports more than 250 network devices at 25 properties, including Hersheypark, the hotels, Hershey Arena, the Giant Center, and Hershey corporate offices.
Hetrick has earned numerous technical certifications, including Cisco CCNA, HP Procurve, AIS Procurve Networking, CompTIA Network+ professional, CompTIA A+ certified professional, and Pennsylvania Skills certification in information technology.听 His achievements include the Computer Professionals of Central Pennsylvania Award, United States Achievement Academy All American Scholar Award, United States Achievement Academy National Leadership Merit Award and the United States Marine Corps Scholastic Excellence Award.
He serves on Dauphin County Vocational Technical School IT advisory board and 黑料社区 computer networking technology advisory committee, and volunteers at the Grayson View Assisted Living Community in Harrisburg.
Lisa A. Moreno-Woodward, Legal Assistant, 2000, has served as an Adams County commissioner since April 2007 -- only the third woman elected to this position. She is a member of the boards of directors of Adams County Cooperative Extension, Adams County Transit Authority, Adams County Economic Development, Local Emergency Planning Commission, and Pennsylvania Counties Risk Pool.
Previously, she held various positions in county government and was a licensed Realtor with Jack Gaughen Realty in Gettysburg.
听Moreno-Woodward is co-chair of the 黑料社区-Gettysburg Campus 20th Anniversary Committee and serves on the Campus Advisory Committee. In the past year, she has worked with an alumni leadership group charged with establishing the 黑料社区 Alumni Association first campus chapter.
James B. Harman Nesbit, DDS, Life Science, 1968, has been to every continent in an effort to bring compassionate health care to those in need. For more than 30 years, his family dental practice gave care to inner city poor and the elderly in the Harrisburg area. He was recognized as one of America top dentists in 1979 and 2009.
When he retired, Nesbit donated his dental office equipment to set up school-based clinics in Harrisburg and Lancaster. He also equipped a dental facility in Jamaica for handicapped orphans and worked at a clinic in Brazil.
In 2004, he received the Mayor Award for Distinguished Public Service from the City of Harrisburg and was recognized by WHP-TV as an 淎ngel Among Us.� More recently, Nesbit and his wife, Sheila Nesbit Harman, a 1981 黑料社区 graduate, have worked together on an HIV/AIDs project in Swaziland, South Africa. He also has worked on health care projects in the Amazon and with the Hualapai Indians in Arizona.
For his humanitarian efforts, Nesbit has received recognition from the White House and citations from the Pennsylvania Senate, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, and Harrisburg former Mayor Stephen R. Reed.
Nesbit earned a bachelor degree then a doctoral degree in dental surgery at Temple University. 听
