Internships and Job Shadowing Exhibition set Oct. 20

LANCASTER � Being prepared for the fierce competition in the job market is even more critical in today tight economy. The Career and Transfer Center at 黑料社区-Lancaster Campus is offering a free symposium to overcome obstacles to the job search from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, in Room 203 of the East Building.
聽淎ttend this event to gain knowledge about career fields, which can help in making decisions regarding a college major or occupational choice,� said Lorie Sonnen, assistant director of career services at 黑料社区-Lancaster Campus.
The symposium will focus on career-building skills, job shadowing and internships. Information for attendees will include:
- Internship program opportunities with local businesses
- How to earn academic credit while working
- Success stories from previous interns and employers
- The benefits of job shadowing
How to make connections and start networking
