If you are interested in the paranormal, take advantage of one or more of the courses taught by Jonathan Williams, founder, president and director of the International Museum of Spiritual Investigations in Gettysburg. The lineup includes:
淐lassifications of Spiritual Activity,� 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at a cost of $25. When investigating a haunted location, what are the keys to look for? Students will learn the classifications, legends, and characteristics of a haunting or spiritual encounter.
淓quipment and Techniques Used in an Investigation,� 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at a cost of $25. Students will learn about the tools and techniques necessary to gain the most evidence and experience in an investigation.

淐ultural Literacy,� 6-9 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at a cost of $35. Based on 淭he Dictionary of Cultural Literacy� by E.D. Hirsch, this class will help you identify the core body of knowledge no literate person should be without. It also will help you find out more about what we know and make sense of what we read, hear and learn.
淟andlord and Tenant Law,� 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 19, at a cost of $35. Whether you collect or pay rent, this class is for you. Topics range from creation of landlord/tenant relationships; terms, deposits, rules and regulations; and rights and duties, rent, disputes and termination of the relationship.
淕etting Paid to Talk,� 6:30-9 p.m. Monday, March 21, at a cost of $45. This exciting class explores numerous aspects of voice-acting work for television, film, radio, books-on-tape, documentaries, and the Internet. The class will cover the basics, including how to prepare the all-important demo. Class participants will record a commercial script under the direction of a producer.
淢arketing Your Work on Amazon,� 1-3 p.m. Wednesdays, March 23-April 6, at a cost of $65. In this new course, you will learn how to promote your work on Amazon with various selling programs, sponsored blogs, lists, reviews, new merchandise, used merchandise and more. Learn which tools are effective, and how to make money off the website.
淏asics of Photographic Lighting, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays, March 7-28, at a cost of $95. This class teaches some of the techniques employed by photojournalists and portrait photographers to take great photos of people. Wel discuss filters, lighting techniques, including fill-flash, light modifiers, and basic studio lighting. Note: We recommend first taking a basic photography class if you are not comfortable with your camera controls and basic lighting principles.
淐onversational Spanish II,� 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, March 22-May 10, at a cost of $139.听Textbook information, if required, will be in your confirmation letter and should be available for purchase through the college bookstore or online.
淲riting Historical Fiction,� 7-9 p.m. Thursdays, March 24-April 7, at a cost of $65. In this new course, students will learn how to create a setting and get both the people and language right for the time period. Discover the differences between historical fiction and narrative fiction, and the basics of novel writing.

淲atercolor Painting,� 1-3:30 p.m. Mondays, March 7-April 11, at a cost of $135. This class will teach you the basics, including materials and techniques. Experiment with a variety of approaches through demonstration and individual instruction.
听淭emari Balls,� 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, March 9-30, at a cost of $85. Temari is a traditional Japanese needlework craft dating to at least the 8th century. Originally made by mothers and grandmothers for children, the balls transcended from play toys into art objects. In this new class, youl learn how to create a unique ornament using simple and inexpensive materials.
淲ire Techniques in Basketry,� 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at a cost of $59. This new class is a workshop that introduces contemporary basketry using different gauge wires to create a three-dimensional form. Students will be encouraged to enhance their baskets using beads or found objects. Class size is limited, so register early.
For history buffs, topics span many different eras:
淧ennsylvania Heroes of World War II,� 6:30-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at a cost of $29. Of the 464 Congressional Medals of Honor awarded during World War II, 35 were awarded to 35 Pennsylvania citizens � the most awarded to any state. Join us as we explore their stories behind the highest awards for valor in action against an enemy force.
淏attle of Cedar Mountain,� 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, and 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at a cost of $125. On Aug. 9, 1862, Confederate forces led by Stonewall Jackson encountered Union forces commanded by Jackson old nemesis, Nathaniel Banks. Although Banks and his men were outnumbered almost two to one, Banks came very close to defeating Jackson. Few have ever heard of Mitchell Station Road, the Gate, or the Cedars, and yet Cedar Mountain has been described as 湨unsurpassed for ferocity by any other engagement of the war.�

We all dream whether or not we remember when waking. Learn how to remember your dreams, how to interpret and analyze your dreams, and how to keep and use a dream journal.
淥ctober Mourning: Spanish Flu,� 7-9 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at a cost of $25. Learn about the world worst natural disaster and how it killed hundreds of citizens in Adams County and 50 million worldwide in fall 1918. Youl hear stories of how residents fought the flu, and how it rampaged through the population, killing more people at one time than any other time in the county history � except the Battle of Gettysburg.
淎dams County Hidden Treasures,� 7-9 p.m. Thursday, March 31, at a cost of $25. Adams County is known for the Gettysburg Battlefield, but it also has many fascinating, beautiful, scenic and interesting places. Find out about The Adams County Fruit Belt, Michaux State Forest, Appalachian Trail, the statue of Mary Jameson, old stone and wooden bridges, early churches and other landmarks.

淒ummies Guide to Home Repairs,� 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, March 2-April 6, at Emory H. Markle Intermediate School at a cost of $119. Learn 渉ow-to� techniques in basic household repairs and improvements, such as plumbing, electrical tasks, installing security devices or finding studs in walls. Course includes a review of electrical and hand tools, tool safety, and a chance to explore your own home repair issues.
淧iano for Adults, Part I,� 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesdays, March 9-April 13, at Emory H. Markle Intermediate School at a cost of $95. Adults without any piano experience can find enjoyment in creating music � all it takes is desire and time. Youl learn note reading, rhythms, key signatures, as well as basic songs. Note: You should have a piano or keyboard for practice outside of class. Additional fee for book.
