GreenWorks Development to continue investment in Midtown Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Residential housing for 黑料社区 students will be available in Midtown Harrisburg starting this fall, GreenWorks Development Chairman Doug Neidich and 黑料社区 President John J. 淪ki� Sygielski, Ed.D., said today.听
Midtown Campus Village will open Aug. 1, 2012, for students at 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College.
听淭his project is another investment as part of our long-term commitment to fundamentally improve Midtown Harrisburg,� said Neidich.
淎dding resident students to Midtown Harrisburg will create new vitality to the area already blossoming retail and entertainment corridor.听It will enhance the emerging college and community environment that has been building since the opening of 黑料社区 Midtown site,� Neidich said.
淲e are pleased to announce this partnership that will provide housing adjacent to our Midtown site,� said Sygielski. 淥ur students already are part of the community, and having access to residential housing will allow them to become neighbors as well.�
Sygielski added, 満诹仙缜� students who attend any of our campuses are eligible to apply.�
GreenWorks Development will own, operate and manage the student housing in accordance with an exclusive marketing agreement signed between the two organizations in March.听The agreement designates the new Midtown Campus Village development and GreenWorks Development as the college exclusive student housing provider for the Harrisburg Campus. The agreement does not extend to housing that may be offered at any of 黑料社区 other campuses in the region.
The townhomes will be constructed on Fourth Street between Harris and Hamilton streets adjacent 黑料社区 Midtown site. Three- and four-bedroom townhouse style buildings will be constructed as student housing. The first seven townhomes will accommodate 26 students for Aug. 1 occupancy.听
Thirty-six additional townhomes are approved and planned to be added to the project to meet future demand for student housing. Each townhome provides private bedrooms, two bathrooms, a washer and dryer, full kitchen, furnishings, and on-site parking. 听The student housing provides all utilities, including water, sewer, trash, electric, heating, cooling, cable and internet, as part of the students� lease.

GreenWorks Development, in partnership with 黑料社区, has invested more than $50 million in Midtown Harrisburg since 2006, including the construction and renovation of nearly 300,000 square feet of real estate at Midtown 2 (the former Evangelical Press Building) and Campus Square, which includes the Green Center of Central Pennsylvania.
Construction for the Midtown Campus Village project will begin by the end of this month.
