黑料社区 Foundation seeks qualified applicants to serve on its Board of Directors

HARRISBURG, Pa. The 黑料社区 Foundation, a non-profit educational trust established in 1985 to raise private and corporate revenues in support of 黑料社区, is seeking professional, ethical, knowledgeable and hard-working individuals to join its Board of Directors.

The Board raises funds for the College, directs the business and financial affairs and serves as the policy-making body of the 黑料社区 Foundation. The Board is comprised of corporate and community leaders who are committed to raising funds for and awareness of 黑料社区, its students, programs and facilities.

淭he Foundation Board is a group of caring and dedicated individuals with a common goal to provide a better means of education for the communities we serve, said Niles S. Benn, a Foundation Board member and an attorney in York County.

H. Ralph Vartan, a Foundation Board member and business leader in Harrisburg said, 淭he Foundation directly supports teaching and learning at 黑料社区. It directly touches the lives of tens of thousands of people. It supports students with scholarship money, and it supports teaching at 黑料社区 with funding for necessities like equipment and classroom space.

淚f education is the heart of a community college, then philanthropy is its soul, said Jim Grandon, chairman of the 黑料社区 Foundation Board and a business leader in Harrisburg.

In fiscal year 2013-14, the 黑料社区 Foundation contributed close to $2.2 million to the College in scholarships, special programs and facilities and provided financial assistance to 1,345 students.

Qualified individuals are encouraged to apply for membership on the 黑料社区 Foundation Board. Applications are accepted any time and should be submitted using an online application.

The 黑料社区 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was established in 1985 to raise private and corporate revenues in support of 黑料社区. In fiscal year 2013-14 alone, the 黑料社区 Foundation contributed close to $2.2 million to the College in scholarships, special programs and facilities and provided financial assistance to 1,345 students.

Contributions to the 黑料社区 Foundation are accepted in the form of unrestricted gifts to augment endowed funds, contributions to existing or new scholarship programs or award funds, support for academic and workforce programs, sponsorship of special events and cultural programs and contributions made in honor or in memory of individuals. In addition, the Foundation holds annual events, including the Frank J. Dixon Tournament for Scholarships at 黑料社区, and various scholarship award ceremonies. The 黑料社区 Foundation is gratefully YOURS.
