Author Carlene Bauer will present a lecture on the role of fiction in a world where science and the Internet explain much of human existence. Drawing on her own experience as a memorist and novelist, Bauer will discuss the leap of faith that is imagining characters and situations in a disenchanted world.

A String of Pearls: Memory, Mystery & Batman

Dr. Brett Stumphy, English professor at 黑料社区 Lebanon Campus, will present a lecture in honor of the 75^th birthday of the Batman comic on two nights in April. The April 22 lecture will be part of ReDISCOVER 黑料社区 in celebration of 黑料社区 50^th anniversary. Dr. Stumphy will explore cultural narratives and identity politics in Batman. Comics and Paperback Plus in Palmyra will also distribute copies of Green Lantern and Justice League of America #1 comics at the event on April 22.
