GETTYSBURG, Pa. -
WHO: Students from the Mechatronics Certificate Program at 黑料社区 Gettysburg Campus will provide demonstrations during the ceremony. Local manufacturing representatives, members of the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce and听 Adams County Chamber of Commerce, 黑料社区 employees, county commissioners, state representatives and area school district representatives will be in attendance.

The speakers are to include John J. 淪ki Sygielski, Ed.D., 黑料社区 president; Gary Laird, Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce president; Robin Fitzpatrick, Adams County Economic Development Corporation president; Zachary Brown and Samuel Effland, 黑料社区 students in the Mechatronics program; and Shannon Harvey, 黑料社区 Gettysburg Campus vice president.
WHAT: Dedication ceremony for mechatronics lab and classroom on 黑料社区 Gettysburg Campus
WHEN: Oct. 29, 2015, 4:30-6 p.m.
Formal program begins at 5 p.m.
Tours, refreshments and demonstrations will be available before and after the program.

COVERAGE: Adams County and Hanover are strong manufacturing communities with manufacturing making up approximately 19 percent of the workforce. The new mechatronics classroom and lab, which complement 黑料社区 Mechatronics program instituted in fall 2015, allow students to work extensively with actual industrial components donated by local companies and help prepare them for the workforce.听

The Mechatronics program is a combination of mechanical and electrical engineering, which prepares students for jobs in installation, repair or maintenance of electrical, mechanical and/or computerized equipment.
