The first IMT cohort started in July 2017 at 贬础颁颁 Gettysburg Campus with employee partner Hain Pure Protein, and at 贬础颁颁 Lancaster Campus with Ames Reese. 淥ur collaboration wouldn be possible without the dynamic leadership at the College, said Kathy Prime, chief learning and talent development officer for High Company LLC, which oversees the High Hotels pilot. 淲hat so exciting about this pilot is the opportunity people will have to change their economic status while fueling local economic development.

Both apprenticeship programs are designed to help fill the void of skilled employees that are needed in Central Pennsylvania and beyond. Graduates of 贬础颁颁 apprenticeship programs will immediately be ready for entry-level employment and will also be positioned to move upward in their chosen field.听听听

Abigail Peslis, director of corporate and business services in 贬础颁颁 Workforce Development and Continuing Education Division, said, 淭he beauty of apprenticeship is that it merges on-the-job training and classroom instruction. Students are earning and learning, which means they can provide for their families while they learn new skills that aid them in moving up in the world of manufacturing.

Both the IMT and hotel associate apprenticeship programs allow students to articulate credits toward an associate degree from 黑料社区.
