黑料社区 Signs Articulation Agreement with Wilson College
May 14, 2018
GETTYSBURG, Pa. Students at 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College, can complete any of 黑料社区 Associate in Arts or Associate in Science programs and transfer all credits earned with a grade C or higher to Wilson College in Chambersburg.听

黑料社区 President John J. 淪ki Sygielski, Ed.D., and Wilson College President Barbara K. Mistick, D.M., renewed an articulation agreement on May 14, 2018, at 黑料社区 Gettysburg Campus that allows 黑料社区 students to seamlessly transfer their credits to Wilson College. The agreement replaces an original agreement between the two colleges signed in 2005.

The revised agreement also supports 黑料社区 students who know early on that they plan to transfer to Wilson College after completing their associate degree at 黑料社区. As part of 黑料社区 dual admission agreement with Wilson College, students who indicate their interest in Wilson College before completing their 30th credit at 黑料社区 will have the Wilson College application fee waived. These students will be guaranteed admission upon completion of their associate degree from 黑料社区 and will be connected with Wilson College advising resources while they complete their 黑料社区 degree.

淲e are grateful for the continued partnership with Wilson College and the opportunity for our students to be able to connect with the college earlier on in their academic careers. It is a great destination for 黑料社区 graduates, because they support a diverse student population and welcome both commuter and residential students. Plus, their offers a unique opportunity for our single parents to attend college full-time, said Kathleen Doherty, Ph.D., associate provost for 黑料社区.

As jobs become more complex, a bachelor degree is required for an increasing number of positions, according to Mistick, who said partnerships like this one make it easier for students to complete their degree in less time. It saves them money while giving them the skills they need for long-term success and preparing them to adapt to a changing employment landscape.

淲e want to create pathways for students who want to continue their education with Wilson, Mistick said. 淭here are very real shortages for people in the workforce with professional skills. We view this as a way for us to participate in workforce development in a very effective, efficient way.
