黑料社区 to Relocate Trade, Technology 黑料社区 at Harrisburg Campus

May 4, 2018
HARRISBURG, Pa. 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College, will relocate the College trade and technology programs over the next four years from the Midtown area to other buildings on the Harrisburg Campus or other 黑料社区 campuses.

The relocation parallels the end of a 15-year lease at Midtown 2 at Third and Reily streets that expires June 30, 2022. The relocation may start as early as summer 2019 and be completed in phases by summer 2022.

満诹仙缜 will continue to offer a robust lineup of trade and technology programs designed to allow students to earn an associate degree to enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year institution or enhance their skills to move up in an existing field, 黑料社区 President John J. 淪ki Sygielski, Ed.D., said.

淣o programs are being cut, and the transition will occur at times that have the least impact on classes, Sygielski said.

淔urthermore, 黑料社区 remains strongly committed to the Midtown area with the College robust Workforce Development and Continuing Education and credit welding programs at Midtown 1 at Fourth and Reily streets, Sygielski said.

By moving out of Midtown 2, which is the only leased space at the Harrisburg Campus, the College will save approximately $1.9 million annually in rent, maintenance and expenses. A portion of the savings initially will be used to renovate spaces for the relocated programs.

黑料社区 signed a lease with Greenworks Development Corporation in July 2007 and began offering the College trade and technology programs in the former Evangelical Press Building the following month.
