A Cappella Re-Imagined with VoicePlay at 黑料社区
HARRISBURG, Pa. Recreating the orchestrated sound of an entire musical production with nothing but the human voice, VoicePlay will perform timeless a cappella hits March 14, 2019, at 7:30 p.m. at Live at Rose Lehrman on the Harrisburg Campus of 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College.
What began as a street-corner barbershop act has evolved into an internationally acclaimed touring sensation, as seen on Season 4 of NBC 淭he Sing-Off! VoicePlay has re-imagined a cappella as a full-stage show with inventive and often hilarious onstage theatrics.

听 Photo Exhibit at 黑料社区 Features Work of Retired Physician Executive GETTYSBURG, Pa. Charles D. Marley Jr., D.O., MHA, concludes the 2018-19 art series at 黑料社区 Gettysburg Campus with an exhibit of original photographs on display March 4-May 10, 2019.听
听
Marley is a recently retired physician executive who served as chief medical officer at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital from 2007-18. He has loved photography since receiving his first Brownie Instamatic camera at the age of 10. He started a wedding photography business at 22 and within five years was photographing 28 weddings each year.听
听
Marley selections for his 淧hotographic Meanderings exhibit represent a sampling of travel photography mixed with 渂ackyard macro photography. The photographs are documentary in nature and represent a range of genres and techniques.听
听
A reception is scheduled for March 26 from 10:45-11:30 a.m. in the campus art gallery hallway. Marley will lead with brief remarks at 10:45 a.m. Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.听
听
Local artists are selected to display their work at the Gettysburg Campus each year based on specific criteria. Artwork must help fulfill the College mission to foster excellence in the educational and cultural growth of its service areas; supplement and enhance educational objectives; and help students expand their horizons by exposing them to new or unfamiliar artistic ideas and themes.

听 Art Exhibit at 黑料社区 Celebrates 20 Years of Friendship LANCASTER, Pa. Two professors of art at 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College, will celebrate 20 years of friendship and artistic collaboration through 淔iesta, a collaborative exhibit now through March 26, 2019, at 黑料社区 Lancaster Campus.
听
Rafael Henin and Garrick Dorsett met in 1997. Both men received their bachelor of fine arts degrees from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Their passion for photography and working with glass fueled their friendship over the years and helped them persevere through difficult financial times.
听
In 2008, Henin and Dorsett began teaching photography and glass blowing classes at 黑料社区. This will be the first show where they have exhibited their work together.
The exhibit will feature blown and sand-carved glass and illustrations. 听听听听

In a combined statement, the artists wrote, 淭his unintended combination of mediums has been brought together by friendship, experiences, familiarity and good old fashioned fate between two people who just happen to stick together through all of life miscalculated developments.
听
A reception with the artists will be held at the Lancaster Campus Art Space on Feb. 27 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. Exhibit hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

听 Head Back to School for Community Education Day at 黑料社区 Gettysburg Campus
GETTYSBURG, Pa.Participants old and new are invited to go back to school on March 15, 2019, to enjoy a day as a student during Community Education Day at 黑料社区 Gettysburg Campus.
听
The event offers enriching lectures on a variety of topics. It is hosted at the campus several times a year with different presenters and subject matter.
听
黑料社区 faculty and an array of experts from the community will present lectures on a selection of 10 topics, including Social Security, birding basics, multiple generations in today workforce, the Battle of Gettysburg and the Bible.
Sessions include:听
My, My, My Generation
Dealing with Difficult People: Lessons from Eisenhower & D-Day
Good Ground: Cemetery Hill during the Battle and After
William James 1842-1910; The Varieties of Religious Experience

The cost to register for three sessions is $49 and includes coffee, donuts and a bagged lunch.
