听 黑料社区 Women Volleyball Team Headed to District Competition
HARRISBURG, Pa. The Lady Hawks volleyball team at 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College, is one win away from a chance to compete in the (NJCAA) National Volleyball Tournament Nov. 14-16, 2019, in Rochester, Minnesota.
The Lady Hawks, the no. 1 seed in Region XIX of the NJCAA, will meet no. 5 seed Montgomery County Community College in the District K Championship match on Nov. 2 at Bucks County Community College in Newtown, Pennsylvania. The first set begins at noon and will be .
The winner will head to nationals.
As defending NJCAA Region XIX champions, 黑料社区 women volleyball has had a stellar year heading into post-season play. Led by Coach Tom Frye, the team has amassed a 21-1 record to become the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) champions. Frye is also the EPAC coach of the year.
The team has been holding strong in the NJCAA National Rankings in sixth place for the weeks of Oct. 16, 21 and 28. This is the first time a 黑料社区 team has been ranked nationally since joining the NJCAA in 2012.听

黑料社区 Recognized for Inclusion, Diversity and Equity HARRISBURG, Pa. 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College, has been awarded the 2019 by the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT).
In August 2019, 黑料社区 was one of three recipients of the , along with Oakton Community College in Des Plaines, Illinois, and Pima Community College District in Tucson, Arizona.
黑料社区 was selected during the national conference Oct. 16-19 to receive the national Charles Kennedy Equity Award.听

The award affirms 黑料社区 commitment to cultivating an environment that promotes the access, retention and success of underrepresented and underserved students and employees. 黑料社区 Student Honors Photography Exhibit Opens Nov. 18 HARRISBURG, Pa. The annual 黑料社区 honors photography exhibit will showcase more than 50 student photographs at the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery on the Harrisburg Campus of 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College. The collection covers a variety of subject matter, including landscapes, portraits, still lives and architecture.
The exhibit will be open Nov. 18 through Dec. 5, 2019, and a public reception for 黑料社区 students will be held Dec. 5 from 5:30-7 p.m. in the gallery. Awards will be presented at 6 p.m. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
Ron Talbott, MFA, senior professor of art, said, 淭his photography honors exhibition ranges from students taking their first of 11 classes in photography to those almost ready to graduate, transfer or open their own business.
黑料社区 Photography Program includes a traditional black-and-white photo-developing lab, 14 individual color dark rooms, a digital photography classroom and a 淣orthern Light studio with a retractable roof that allows students to photograph objects in diffused, natural daylight.
Since 1988, 黑料社区 students have competed in photography competitions with more than 2,000 other colleges and universities, and have consistently been among the top three winners in each competition.
Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday and 5-7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, or by appointment.
The gallery received state arts funding support through a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and from the National Endowment for the Arts.
