During this challenging time, we want to thank and recognize 黑料社区 employees, students and others who are making a difference. The heroes of this story are faculty from the Nursing and Allied Health programs.

HARRISBURG, Pa. � 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College, recently donated personal protective equipment and supplies to UPMC Pinnacle Health in response to a need during the global coronavirus pandemic.

On March 21, 2020, faculty from the Nursing and Allied Health programs at 黑料社区 Harrisburg Campus gathered the following items valued at $1,591:
听

• Antibacterial supplies � 31 containers
• Bouffant caps � 4 boxes
• Disposable lab coats � 12 packages
• Face masks � 43 boxes
• Gloves � 166 boxes
• Gowns � 105 packages
• Protective eyewear � 13 pairs
• Surgeon hoods � 3 packages
• Shoe covers � 3 boxes

UPMC Pinnacle took the items to their central distribution center to be given to hospitals and departments in most need.

淯PMC is humbled by the outpouring of support from the community interested in donating supplies,� said听Philip Guarneschelli,听president of UPMC Pinnacle. 淲e are immensely thankful for the generous donation from 黑料社区 as UPMC team members continue to provide care for our patients and work to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community.�

黑料社区 has also notified area hospitals to contact the College if they have additional needs for supplies that the College may have in storage.
