黑料社区 Art Faculty Showcase Their Work in Virtual Exhibition听
HARRISBURG, Pa. The professional artists who comprise the Art Program faculty at 黑料社区 will display their work Oct. 11- Nov. 5, 2021, on the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery webpage.
Artist lectures will be presented by several faculty members via Zoom on Oct. 21 from 6-7 p.m.听 To join the lectures, please visit the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery website. The lectures and exhibit are free and open to the public.
The diverse artwork demonstrates the breadth of skill and talent possessed by our faculty in a variety of subject matters and disciplines, including:

HARRISBURG, Pa. More than 330 students at 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College, completed their associate degree, certificate or diploma during the summer 2021 semester.
听

HARRISBURG, Pa. Students attending classes this fall at 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College, have additional resources and opportunities for success in their studies and activities.
In addition, future students will find theme-based campus tours and听virtual events to provide experiences that meet their specific needs and goals.
黑料社区 Added, Revised
Among the new and revised programs in 贬础颁颁 line-up of approximately 100 career and transfer associate degree, certificate and diploma programs are:
Addiction and Recovery Services Program This new associate in applied science degree program provides a pathway for those with a passion for motivating people to make positive changes in their lives.
Sections of anatomy and physiology, English as a Second Language (ESL), statistics, and trigonometry classes are using Open Educational Resources (OER), teaching, learning and research resources that are a free alternative to costly text books.
Revised English as a Second Language (ESL) courses allow for a more customized instructional experience based on the student need. The new sequence improves student progression between workforce and credit courses.
The ESL Program offered by the Office of Workforce Development and Continuing Education is participating in 贬础颁颁 pilot of HyFlex technology that allows students to attend in person while their classmates attend remotely from as far away as Mali, Panama and Vietnam.
The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Unit is participating in a Healthcare Advance Program to give York County School of Technology students the opportunity to experience 黑料社区 health career programs.
A new full-time emergency medical technician (EMT) program repeats every six weeks to provide a continuous opportunity for displaced workers to gain an industry credential in a short period of time, or for employers to send new employees to 黑料社区 for credentials.
A new Advanced EMT to Paramedic pathway begins this fall.
The College multi-class contract with WellSpan Health starts this fall听with a fully paid opportunity for WellSpan Health employees in听Chambersburg, Lancaster and York听to become medical assistants.听
A new course in clinical documentation improvement trains students in the Medical Coding Specialist Program on how to ensure documentation of medical procedures and encounters are fully and accurately recorded.
Enhancements to Learning
Classroom renovations and implementation of various software tools aimed at improving educational success include:
Communications classrooms collegewide were renovated to provide a consistent instructional recording experience regardless of campus location. Funded by the 黑料社区 Foundation, this launch is the culmination of three years of planning and implementation.
with faculty librarians are now accessible with the click of one button, making it easier for students to use this resource.
Implementation of Guided Pathways, an advising and coaching practice, ensures that students receive proactive guidance aligned with critical decision points in their academics.
Students receiving additional support with Degree Works, a web-based, degree-monitoring tool, helps keep them on track with requirements needed to complete for graduation.
A College-Level Examination Program庐 (CLEP) pilot initiative focused on serving multilingual students is underway. CLEP exams let students test out of introductory courses and move to advanced courses toward a degree.
Accommodate by Simplicity, an online case management system, implemented this fall makes it easier to facilitate student requests for accommodations and keep faculty informed.
A new for students with disabilities is continually updated to provide comprehensive resources in a single location.
Extracurricular Opportunities

The Rose Lehrman Art Gallery is offering a virtual line-up of shows, lectures and exhibitions that are available open to the public.
A grant from the Student Government Association听(SGA) allows the CARE Center to expand assistance to include transportation.
The CARE Center has implemented a two-week follow up with each student to ensure the provided resources are adequate and to determine if new needs have arisen. This helps guarantee that students are not falling through the cracks and are receiving the nonacademic support they need.
A change in federal law has made more students temporarily eligible for the during the pandemic. Students with $0 expected family contribution on their or found eligible for work study may now be eligible for SNAP.
