HARRISBURG, Pa 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College, congratulates the more than 500 黑料社区 Foundation scholarship recipients for the 2020-21 academic year.

Linnie S. Carter, Ph.D., APR, the vice president of college advancement at 黑料社区 and executive director of the 黑料社区 Foundation, said, 淭he global pandemic has financially wrecked the lives of many 黑料社区 students. They have lost their jobs and homes. In some cases, they have lost their loved ones. For many of them, 黑料社区 is the Ellis Island of higher education a place they can get a new lease on life and fresh start. Scholarships from our generous donors help our students to transition from the despair of losing jobs, homes and loved ones to hope for the future. 黑料社区 students know that 黑料社区 employees care about them. They now know that philanthropists, community leaders and business leaders also care about them as demonstrated by their generous charitable contributions.

A former scholarship recipient, Derek Eberly, said, 淪cholarships represent one of the only viable options for the modern student to move forward and get ahead in the short term without being held back by crippling debt in the long term.
