黑料社区 President #Biking4黑料社区 Raises $9,500
HARRISBURG, Pa. - 听From June 21-Aug. 8, 2021, John J. 淪ki� Sygielski, MBA, Ed.D., president and CEO of 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College, biked over 650 miles to support 黑料社区 students.
Throughout his journey, Sygielski:
- Visited 55 of the public high schools throughout 黑料社区 11-county service region
- Met with high school superintendents, 黑料社区 alumni, business leaders, legislators and other 黑料社区 supporters听
- Raised $9,500 for 黑料社区 Fund for Excellence for CARE, which helps students overcome hardships (such as food insecurity, housing insecurity and financial crises) and allows them to complete their education.
He said, 淎s we approach the start of the fall semester, I wanted to thank our high school partners for their continued support and learn how we can better serve their students. I also want to remind our current and future 黑料社区 students that they and their successes remain our priorities. Wee prepared and excited to welcome them back to start the fall semester through any of our modalities.澨�

Internationally Known Visual Artist to Virtually Display Photographic Works at 黑料社区
HARRISBURG, Pa. � 淓yes of Another,� an exhibition of photographs by , an internationally known visual artist, will be displayed in a virtual art exhibit curated by the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery at 黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College, from Sept. 1-Oct. 1, 2021.

Using Zoom, McAfee will discuss his work on Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. To join the lecture, please visit the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery website. The lecture and exhibit are free and open to the public.

Based in Baltimore, Maryland, McAfee received his bachelor degree in fine art photography from the Corcoran College of Art and Design,听the professional art school of The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.; his master degree in photography from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia; and a post-graduate diploma in arts and culture management from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.

McAfee, visiting professor at Earlham College听in Richmond, Indiana, has been featured in numerous publications and catalogs, has participated in residencies in the United States and Spain and has received several grants, including a Fulbright IIE Grant to Johannesburg. His work has been exhibited in Baltimore at the Walters Art Museum and Institute of Contemporary Art; the Academy Art Museum in Easton, Maryland; the Hamiltonian Gallery and Kreeger Museum, both in Washington, D.C.; and The Print Center in Philadelphia.
