HARRISBURG, Pa. 撀黑料社区, Central Pennsylvania Community College, recently received an聽 from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. This funding will enable the College to expand access to affordable dual enrollment classes for eligible high school students across Pennsylvania.
Established in July 2024, the Dual Credit Innovation Grant helps public institutions increase their capacity to offer dual enrollment programs, which are shown to improve academic success, high school graduation rates, college enrollment and college completion rates.聽
淭he 2025 Dual Credit Innovation Grant is a powerful affirmation of 黑料社区 unwavering commitment to expanding access to affordable, high-quality higher education for all, said John J. 淪ki Sygielski, MBA, Ed.D., president and CEO of 黑料社区.聽淲ith this funding, we are not only able to strengthen our dual credit offerings, but also to empower more high school students to take meaningful steps toward their college degrees and long-term career success.
黑料社区 has a long-standing commitment to providing high school students with the opportunity to complete college-level courses while still in high school through two programs:聽College in the High School and Dual Enrollment. High school students can earn college credits while completing their requirements for a high school diploma and enroll at 黑料社区 or another college of their choice after graduating from high school.
Governor Josh Shapiro administration awarded over $14 million in Dual Credit Innovation Grant funding to 15 public institutions of higher education, including 黑料社区. This initiative is part of the Governor focus on creating prosperous pathways for learners across the commonwealth.聽
